Slow & Low Elk Grove, CA

One of our largest projects to date. We designed and fabricated a full suite of custom alder wood furniture for this restaurant, Slow & Low, a barbecue restaurant in Elk Grove, CA. This expansive project required both craftsmanship and thoughtful spatial design to enhance the restaurant’s inviting, communal atmosphere.

Our work included:

  • Six communal tables with matching benches, creating a warm, shared dining experience.

  • Perimeter bench seating featuring exposed stud-like backs, blending a raw, structural aesthetic with comfort. One of these benches spans an impressive 60+ feet.

  • Two bar-height tables wrapping structural posts, seamlessly integrating functional dining space into the architecture.

  • Slatted bar front and bar shelving, adding texture and dimension to the bar area.

  • Dividing walls, carefully engineered by M3E engineering to section the large space while maintaining an open, airy feel.

  • Hanging planters, bringing in organic elements to soften the space.

  • Pill-shaped slatted condiment bars, thoughtfully designed for function and style.

  • Front waiting bench, providing guests with a welcoming and comfortable entrance. Traditional Joinery (No screws or nails.)

  • Merchandise & host stand, crafted for both visual appeal and practicality.

By using solid alder, we achieved a warm, rustic-modern aesthetic that complements the restaurant’s slow-smoked, handcrafted approach to barbecue. Every element was designed with durability in mind, ensuring that the furniture not only looks stunning but also withstands the demands of a bustling restaurant environment.
